EcoMom Review & GIVEAWAY

I was recently asked to review some products from EcoMom. If you've never heard of them, they're a pretty cool company dedicated to making "Going Green" easier.

EcoMom offers all kinds of eco-friendly advice as well as products. I received Plum Organics Baby Food (2 pouches, 1 Pear/Mango & 1 Sweet Potato, Corn & Apples) & 3 snack sandwich bars from Revolution Foods.

Unfortunately I was unable to use the baby food as my kiddos are past baby food at this point and there is no going back once they've had real food!! ;) So I asked my friend to try out the baby food with her 8-month-old baby girl Avery. She says Avery enjoyed the Sweet Potato/Corn/Apples, but the Pear/Mango not so much. But she's not a huge mango fan anyway. She & I agreed that the pouch packaging was handy & cute! It doesn't take up much room in the cabinet or fridge & is easily resealed. I saw on their site that there is now a Boon Spoon just for the pouch so it would be REALLY easy to use. As for the sandwich snack bars...my kids, Eli (4) & Luci (21 months) they GOBBLED them up! Eli asked if we could buy a whole bunch more! We had 3 flavors to try out; a Honey Graham & Strawberry Yogurt Grammy Sammy, a Grape Jelly & Peanut Butter Jammy Sammy, & a Strawberry Jam & Peanut Butter Jammy Sammy. The Jammy Sammies were a HUGE hit! Neither of them were too fond of the Grammy Sammy. (Not real sure why....kids, who knows?)

I love that the bars had no crazy colors or other ingredients in them that I couldn't pronounce. I've really started to watch what processed foods I give them because there are so many studies that directly link additives to ADD & ADHD. As a teacher, I see more & more children medicated every year due to these conditions & many more. It breaks my heart to think of the kids whose parents have tried to do the best they can for them & yet their food (which our government says is ok) is really not. But that's another soapbox for another day!

Overall I was very pleased with the EcoMom products I was given to review.
